  3. The only way I could transfer the shareware WAD file was to install the shareware Doom
  4. onto a PC and then use the PC ARJ.EXE program to compress the file over 2 disks.
  5.  
  6. It compressed to around 1.7Mb and was two files on the two disks.
  7.  
  8. Then using the EXCELLENT programs in the Atari UNARJ.996 package to uncompress the files to my
  9. hard disk.
  10.  
  11. As far as I know ARJ is the only format that can have a file split accross multiple disks.
  12. ST ZIP does not support this feature !!!!
